- I run classes at cookery schools, venues and in your own home.
- I also run cookery classes at the Oxford Brookes Cookery School whenever during summer and autumn – My previous class was on the 17th June 2019.
- Due to my 2019 travels. I have not been able to give too many dates for cookery classes and supper clubs
- 22nd Sept – Spiritual Supper club – South Indian Themed supper at home – A success with thirteen guests who enjoyed the food and a presentation of my travels.
I find my inspiration and ideas from my travels, which is very often!
2019 – I started my journey in Jan this year, exploring Indian coastline, My husband and I started off with our home town, Gujarat, visitng various places and discovering interesting different flavours. After that, embarking on 5 different train journeys, we took to the Konkan west coast and then to the mystical Temple town of Hampi, and then travelling towards the east coast. Heading towards the Silicon valley of India, Bangalore, then to a spiritual French colony Pondicherry. After that we headed to Odisha – a state renowned for its’ tribal communities. Bhutan – a country of mountains and Buddhism was our last destination! It was an incredible three month journey which taught me a lot of things! – Read my blog – ‘Dancing away’!
During my travels, I had an opportunity to taste and experiment different cuisines, as you all know India is a melting pot of world’s influences. I even got to go into some kitchens and see how it all comes about. Please read my blogs where I like to pen my special experiences during my travels
I would like to share my experiences, the food I have tasted and cooked wiht you all, in a series of blogs, workshops, supper clubs, cooking demonstations. Hope you will join me in this journey.
My 2018 travels were
- Kerala, India has given me inspiration and will soon introduce some Keralan dishes in my menus.
- Morocco gave me an insight to how much India too as in common – in terms of spices and smells. Loved the markets and enjoyed cooking with the owners of our riyadh!
- Norway – fresh, local sourced ingredients – not far from my ideal cooking inspiration!
My autumn and winter classes were held at the Oxford Brookes Cookery School
The classes are full of enthusiastic learners with a hands on approach where you can create your own dishes.

A chance to impress your friends by learning how to cook authentic Indian dishes.
Our guest Kashmira will be sharing her wealth of knowledge in Indian cuisine, including the use of a variety of spices. Kasmira will be teaching us how to cook dishes that have been passed down through her family for generations as well as some recipes that she has discovered from her travels around India.
Assisted by Amanda, the day will be very hands on and feature demonstrations. At the end of the course, everyone’s efforts will be rewarded with your choice of a glass of wine or a soft drink and a sit down meal of the food that you have cooked during the day.

On this one day cookery course I will teach you the secrets of making vibrant and authentic Indian street food. I have grown up cooking and eating authentic Indian cuisine, and will share my passion, enthusiasm and knowledge to teach you how to cook simple but flavoursome Indian Street Food dishes. The day will be very hands on and will feature demonstrations. – A lovely bunch of enthusiasts who loved replicating the dishes shown in the class

In this four week course, I will take you on a journey of India’s diverse cuisine. A different region will be introduced every week. From the creamy, royal food of Northern India to the sweet and sour, spicy, vegetarian, Gujarati dishes of the west where I come from.The South Indian food is based on coconut, fish and spices, while the Eastern will introduce you to some more interesting mixtures of spices.- Postponed for autumn 2017 -watch out for the dates!
- Indian Street Food Indian Supper
- 11th Nov 2017. 9.30 am till 1pm
I will be sharing my recipes including the use of a variety of spices. I will be teaching you how to cook dishes that have been passed down through my family for generations as well as some recipes that I have discovered from my travels around India. – Making their own chappatis is the highlight!
So come along and learn to cook Indian dishes that will impress your family and friends! Each course will have an introduction to spices, and cereals and pulses and a slideshow of images of my travels. At the end of the course, everyone’s efforts will be rewarded with your choice of a glass of wine or a soft drink and a sit down meal of the food that you have cooked during the day.
